  2.            Silver Xpress Reader Quick Upgrade/Installation

  5.   Welcome to new version 2.28 of Silver Xpress Off-Line Reader System.
  6.  
  7.   Let's keep this simple.
  8.  
  9.   To upgrade your current setup, just extract these files over your
  10.   current xpress files. The new LIST files, and the ARCHIVE.CFG file
  11.   should be in the same directory where XPREAD.EXE is.
  12.  
  13.   For registered people, the code is the same. If you don't remember
  14.   your code, then the only thing you can do to get your code is:
  15.  
  16.       1) With your currently registered V2.20 reader, create a dummy
  17.          reply packet.
  18.  
  19.       2) Manually decompress the reply packet and check the BOARD.ID
  20.          file. Inside of there is your code if you are registered.
  21.  
  22.       3) If this fails, then call 412-864-2294 and leave a message on
  23.          Pitt Xpress BBS.
  24.  
  25.       4) If you are a Xpress Priority Service member, you should be
  26.          receiving this package in the mail if you haven't already.
  27.          The package will have a letter verifying your codes.
  28.  
  29.   If you are new to Xpress, and you have a hard disk system, then
  30.   decompress the SXPR228.ZIP file into a directory called \Xpress. Put
  31.   the \Xpress on the path. Put PKZIP or whatever you plan to use as an
  32.   archiver in this directory too.  This is the easiest setup.
